Traore has not been selected for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations and is still struggling with the after effects of the disease.
The attacking midfielder has made six appearances this season, with three each coming in the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
His last appearance came at home in a 2-1 defeat against Liverpool in the latter competition before he went away on international duty.
