Zagadou spent five years on the books of Dortmund before his summer departure and signing for Stuttgart, where life has been much tougher. The centre-back made his second start for the club last weekend as VfB finally got their first win of the campaign in a 4-1 victory at home to Bochum. Silas was the driving force behind those maiden three points with two goals and an assist in Michael Wimmer's first game in temporary charge following the dismissal of Pellegrino Matarazzo. He was on target again in Wednesday's morale-boosting 6-0 hammering of Arminia Bielefeld in the DFB Cup, a game that Zagadou sat out. The French defender should return in time for the weekend, while Serhou Guirassy and Atakan Karazor are also available again after serving one-match bans last time out.

Bellingham has four goals in as many UEFA Champions League matches, but hasn't scored in the Bundesliga since 10 April 2021 (a 3-2 win in Stuttgart). With 22 goal attempts this season, he has the worst shots-to-goals ratio in the division.

Modeste needs one goal to tie Franck Ribery (86) as the top-scoring Frenchman in Bundesliga history.

Dortmund are winless in three Bundesliga matches for the first time since January 2021.

Silas scored his first Bundesliga brace in a 5-1 win at Dortmund on 12 December 2020. He scored his second double last week against Bochum.

VfB are chasing back-to-back Bundesliga wins for the first time since May 2021, but have lost their last three against Dortmund.

Stuttgart have not won away in the Bundesliga since 11 December 2021 (2-0 vs. Wolfsburg) - a run of 14 matches.
