Haaland drew only his second blank in nine Bundesliga appearances this season as Dortmund lost ground on Bayern Munich at the top with a 1-1 draw at local rivals Bochum on Saturday. However, the Norwegian did provide the assist for Julian Brandt, who came off the bench to rescue the vital point five minutes from time. The Germany international didn't start after going off with concussion in the previous weekend's 2-1 Klassiker defeat, but should be restored now. BVB had to do without left-back Raphael Guerreiro at short notice due to a muscular problem, so Nico Schulz deputised and will likely have to do so again given the brief turnaround time. A knee operation means Manuel Akanji is out for the remainder of 2021, with Dan-Axel Zagadou returning now to partner Mats Hummels in central defence. Jude Bellingham is nailed on in midfield, with Emre Can, Axel Witsel and Mo Dahoud competing for the remaining places in Marco Rose's team.
Green was an unused substitute as Fürth made history on Sunday by beating Union Berlin 1-0 to record their first home win in 24 attempts in the Bundesliga, as well as earning their first three points of this season. Havard Nielsen got the golden goal and spoke of his pride after the game, but one win won't be enough for the promoted side to avoid the drop. Greuther remain bottom, 12 points off the relative safety of the play-off spot going into Matchday 16. Coach Stefan Leitl has been constantly searching for a line-up to bring that first success, so may see little reason to deviate from the team that got the better of Union. Goalkeeper Sascha Burchert returned for that game after the man who'd previously ousted him - Marius Funk - was ruled out for several months with a knee injury. Jamie Leweling is also a regular in attack who provides another option for the Bavarians as they go to the Signal Iduna Park.
Match stats
Haaland has scored more Bundesliga goals (51 in 52 matches) than Fürth (34 in 49 matches).
Bellingham hadn't even turned 10 when a Dortmund team including current captain Marco Reus beat Greuther 3-1 at home and 6-1 away in 2012/13.
BVB are this season's second-best home team, with 21 points from 24, 23 goals scored and 12 against.
Branimir Hrgota is Fürth's four-goal leading marksman after 15 matches. BVB have scored four or more in five competitive matches this season.
Fürth's victory at the weekend was their only their fifth ever in the Bundesliga and first since 4 May 2013.
Prior to that win, Clover Leaves had made the worst-ever start to a Bundesliga season with just one point from 14 games and a -36 goal difference. They are now one point better off than Cologne were after 15 matchdays in 2017/18.
