Bellingham tipped to leave in summer 2023 with Dortmund to sell Haaland first

This is the prediction European football expert Kevin Hatchard has made about the German side's transfer policy.

Bellingham, who has recently been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, has become an established star at the highest level despite being just 18 years old.

And Hatchard believes it's only a matter of time before the former Birmingham man comes back to England - but teammate Haaland will leave Dortmund first.

"I think the plan is he stays for this season, then he stays for the rest of next season and then he's probably the one to go," Hatchard told talkSPORT.

"I think Haaland goes next summer, and I think Bellingham goes the summer after, probably.

"He's someone who's developed at an even more accelerated rate than even they expected."

Bellingham was outstanding in Dortmund's latest outing as he scored and provided an assist for Haaland in their win at Besiktas in the Champions League.

Hatchard labelled Bellingham's performance as 'phenomenal', adding that the midfielder will be in no hurry to get a move to a Premier League club.

Hatchard added: "If you watch him in a game, this kid is 18, he's pointing to Thomas Meunier, who's played in a Champions League final and played for Belgium at major tournaments and he's basically barking at him the whole time - telling him where to be, telling him off.

"When Dortmund have the ball he constantly wants it and when they don't have the ball he's hunting it down. He's phenomenal, he really is.

"The one thing about him is he's mature and knows he has loads of time. Let's not forget he turned down Manchester United to go to Dortmund, Bayern were interested as well by the way, but he went to Dortmund because he knew he would play.

"It makes no real sense to go to the Premier League right now. I think the assumption is as an England international he's just going to race back to the Premier League as soon as he possibly can. I don't think he will, I think he'll happily stay this season and next season and then the world's his oyster."
