Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid saw out a 3-2 victory against Atalanta on Tuesday night, with Bellingham bagging the decisive goal.
Despite playing for rival Birmingham clubs in their careers, ex-Aston Villa star Richards and Birmingham City icon Bellingham clearly have a strong bond.
So much so, the duo struggled to hide their friendship when the former spoke to Los Blancos star Bellingham for CBS Sports after the game.
Giggling, the pair hugged before the interview got underway with Italian football icon Alessandro Del Piero playing third wheel.
"Come on!" Richards laughed. "You're with the real guys now, hey!"

Bellingham was asked questions about his side's win, but as he answered, Richards' lip could be seen quivering uncontrollably.
And it appeared as though he was doing his best to stop himself from bursting out laughing at how serious Bellingham was being.
But after managing to get some questions to the midfielder, it was Bellingham who had a cheeky dig at Richards first.
After Richards asked where his 'top, top' mentality came from, Bellingham smiled.

"How professional are you today?" he laughed, brushing Richards in the ribs. "'Top, top?!'"
But Richards did have a bone of his own to pick with Bellingham, who's yet to pay the tribute to him he promised after scoring a goal.
"We had a little bet," he said. "I had to wear a full Madrid [kit]. You still not done the Micah celebration.
"I'm waiting for it!"
"What do you want?!" Bellingham smiled.
"Just do an M," Richards said, drawing an M with his finger. "Big Meeks."
"Deal," Bellingham said.
The 21-year-old fired in what went on to be Real Madrid's winner against Atalanta on Tuesday.
Kylian Mbappe had put his side ahead, before Charles De Ketelaere equalised from the spot on the stroke of half time.
Vinicius Jr put the LaLiga side back ahead 11 minutes after the restart, before Bellingham netted just shy of the hour mark.
Ex-Leicester and Charlton star Ademola Lookman netted a consolation goal for the reigning Europa League champions in the 65th minute to make it 3-2.
Bellingham has now scored the same amount of Champions League goals for Real Madrid as Kaka.
He's netted five goals in Europe's top flight for Los Blancos across 17 games.
