Barcelona will welcome Manchester City to the Camp Nou on August 24 for a charity match promoted by Juan Carlos Unzue, which will raise funds for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) research.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper was diagnosed with hte condition two years ago, and club legends Xavi and Pep Guardiola will face off to help the Luzon Foundation continue their research.
The clash comes at an unusual time for both clubs following the start of their league campaigns, with Barcelona currently on four points after two matches, while City have earned seven from their first three Premier League mathches.
