Mario Balotelli has continued to surprise us with his antics after celebrating a goal by kicking his teammate in the head.

The former Manchester City star moved to Turkish side Adana Demispor in the summer.

His current employers saw off Super Lig giants Galatasaray recently, with Yunus Akgun scoring a brace.

And it was after Akgun's opener that Balotelli produced one of his more bizarre celebrations.

The Italian, notably taller than his teammate, kicked him in the head before he was hugged by fellow teammate Matias Vargas.

Demirspor currently sit fourth in the table.

Recently Balotelli used his fist, rather than his leg, to show his frustration after being hauled off before the hour in a draw with Konyaspor.

The Italian was raging on the bench, letting out a string of verbals before turning to his teammates and hitting him in the arm.

Balotelli has a history of bizarre antics, with celebrations among them.

He signed for City back in 2010 and quickly caught the imagination.

His two-goal performance in the 6-1 derby day win at Old Trafford marked him down in City history with his 'Why always me' celebration becoming iconic.

Balotelli has said since: "I did it for many reasons, but I'll leave it for other people to figure out what it means. I'm sure people can work it out.

"Chappy, our kit man did it for me, I told him the words and he printed them. He is a good guy Chappy, one of the best."

Since leaving City Balotelli has played for a host of clubs, struggling to settle for any prolonged period of time.

The Italian has represented both Milan clubs, Nice, Marseille, Brescia and Monza.

Adana Demispor owner Murat Sancak has claimed that the Turkish outfit would be able to handle the Italian, who has his sights set on getting back into the Italian side for next winter's World Cup.

"Balotelli wants to come here to go to the World Cup," Sancak told A Spor. "The sponsor will pay half of his salary.

"They say that Balotelli is crazy but nobody has to worry: We are from Adana and we will be able to manage him."

Balotelli has made 36 appearances for the Azzurri and played previously under current national coach Roberto Mancini.

The forward has scored 14 times for his country, the last of those coming in a friendly against Saudi Arabia back in 2018.
