The Manchester United talisman scored a brace to down Arsenal on Thursday in a thrilling game at Old Trafford to clinch his 800th and 801st goals in professional football.
Since turning 30, Ronaldo has 338 goals and 80 assists in 377 games, a remarkable achievement considering he has continued to play at the very highest level with Real Madrid and Juventus before his return to Old Trafford.
Conversely, Aubameyang has flatterde to deceive in recent weeks and was hauled off by Mikel Arteta with 11 minutes to go and with the Gunners needing a go to amedn the 3-2 scoreline.
The 32-year-old has missed six good chances already this season, including two missed penalties, and has only reigstered four goals from 13 appearances this season.
Aubameyang signed a lucrative three-year deal worth around £55million in 2020 to end speculation about his future, but proceeded to score just 10 goals last season as well - suggesting there is a deeper lying issue.
And former Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur striker Bent believes the disparity in the work ethics of both players makes for stark contrast.
He said on Drive: "When you look at Aubameyang and you look at Ronaldo, one of the biggest differences to me is the hunger and the desire.
"I look at Ronaldo and he is absolutely starving hungry to score goals."
"One's 37," Bent added. "How old is Aubameyang, 33? I understand that.
"He's not the greatest because of his hunger, it's because of his ability. You can be hungry to score goals.
"But I look at Aubameyang sometimes and he's not in the box, there's times when he's getting beaten by the defenders.
"Listen, his biggest attribute is his pace. So there are times when Arsenal are struggling in games, what do you have to do?
"You have to clip it over the top, just roll it down the channel and let him use his pace and get Arsenal up the pitch. It's like he doesn't even do that sometimes.
"As the ball went wide, he's not in the box. At times, there have been occasions where he has carried Arsenal on his back - pre-contract.
"The cup final, the start of the following season, he carried Arsenal on his back and he was fantastic.
"That player is not the same player that you see today."
