Despite Mikel Arteta's consistent praise for Kai Havertz's role in leading Arsenal's attack, a large faction of Gunners' fans still feel the club need an out-and-out number nine.
The Germany international made an impressive start to the season, scoring four goals in his first seven league games, but has only added one more to that tally in his last seven matches.
Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, has yet to open his league account after 12 appearances, with the Brazilan's only goal this term coming in the EFL Cup at the end of October.
Arsenal plotting January move for Dusan Vlahovic
Arsenal were linked with a move for Vlahovic in the past, and according to CaughtOffside, Arteta is prepared to revisit their interest in the Serbian ahead of the winter transfer window.
The report adds that the Gunners' boss views the Juventus attacker as an ideal fit for his team's current playing style.
The Serbia international is set to enter the final 18 months of his current contract, which earns him over £350,000 per week at the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus are keen to secure an extension to his contract, but should they fail in their negotiations, the Italian giants are believed to be open to selling the player for a fee of around £65m.
It is understood that Arsenal will face stern competition to secure Vlahovic's services, though, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all keeping an eye on the player's situation.
Gunners also eyeing Premier League attackers ahead of transfer window
Aside from Vlahovic, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus, following his impressive performances since arriving at the London Stadium.
However, the Hammers reportedly value the Ghana international at £80m and have no intention of selling him in the foreseeable future, with his contract running until 2028.
Elsewhere, reports suggest that Brighton & Hove Albion forward Joao Pedro is another player on the Gunners' shortlist for January, though the Brazilian is also on the radar of Liverpool as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez.
Arsenal are currently in third place in the Premier League, six points behind Liverpool, and are set to face Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Satuday afternoon.
