Arsenal fans blame Kardashian for title failure but results suggest there could be 'curse'

The Gunners lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, a result that ended their hopes of a first league title since 2004 and confirmed Manchester City as champions.

At one stage, however, it was all plain sailing for Mikel Arteta's troops, having been eight points clear at the top.

His side spent 248 days at the top of the table, the longest amount of time a team has spent at the summit, without winning the Premier League.

But since March, Arsenal have been struggling and fans have cited Kardashian's visit, albeit with a firm tongue in the cheek, as the reason behind their decline.

The social media star previously watched the Gunners in action against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League, and Arteta's men have dropped points in six of the ten matches they've played since.

One fan said: "The fall of Arsenal started when she visited the Emirates, I'll never forgive you Kim Kardashian."

A second claimed: "Since the day Kim Kardashian went to the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal, I knew they would crash out of the Europa League and bottle the Premier League. The Kardashian curse!"

Another added: "Arsenal lost the title when Kim Kardashian visited them. That lady is just bad luck, Most especially to those guys whom she and her sisters have dated. I feel sorry for Arsenal fans mehn [sic], leading the title race then losing it at the end."

A fourth wrote: "Crazy to think Arsenal's problems started when Kim Kardashian visited the Emirates!"
