The Red Devils are set to continue their Europa League campaign and are eyeing a second win in a row to move up the League Phase table.
In one of Ruud van Nistelrooy's games in interim charge, United beat PAOK and now Amorim will be on the touchline against Bodo/Glimt.
The Norweigan side sit above United as things stand, but they are only separated by one point after four gameweeks.
Three points would be important for Amorim, who will want to get his first win under his belt early on to avoid any worries creeping in.

"That is why I was a little bit anxious, because you cannot understand what will happen in the game. I felt that.
"What I understood today is that they are trying, they are really trying. They stay in the positions, they receive information and they try to use it in the game. That is very important.
"Even in the difficult moments, I felt they were doing the things we said for them to do.

This will be Manchester United's first-ever meeting with Norwegian opponents in all European competition.
Bodø/Glimt's only previous meetings with English opponents came in the 2022-23 UEFA Europa League, losing 3-0 away and 1-0 at home to Arsenal.
Man United vs Bodo/Glimt: Predicted line-up
Amorim may use this clash to experiment with some more players in his system.
Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro and Victor Lindelof will all remain doubts, but Luke Shaw made his first appearance of the season at the weekend.
And Shaw could start in this clash as part of a back three with Jonny Evans and Matthijs De Ligt, while Noussair Mazraoui moves to wingback.
Diogo Dalot will play opposite Mazraoui who should take the spot of Amad Diallo after the youngster played a rare 90 minutes against Ipswich.
Manuel Ugarte may come into the line-up in midfield alongside Casemiro or Christian Eriksen, and in front of them, there could be some changes too.
In behind the striker, Mason Mount is likely to get the call while Bruno Fernandes will surely partner him as captain.
Up front, Marcus Rashford started ahead of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at Portman Road, but Amorim could test either of the latter this time around.

Bruno Fernandes has been involved in 11 goals in 13 UEFA Europa League appearances at Old Trafford for Manchester United, scoring four goals and assisting seven.
Bodø/Glimt's Patrick Berg has both made the most tackles (22) and most interceptions (12) in the UEFA Europa League this season. Berg made nine tackles and four interceptions against Qarabag on MD4, the first player to post both numbers in a single Europa League game since Diego Laxalt in October 2020 for Celtic vs Lille.
Man United vs Bodo/Glimt: What has been said?
Andre Onana is staying positive despite not winning Amorim's first game in charge, and he's excited for the rest of the season.
"We are such a big club so there is no time to cry, we have to move on," Onana said on Sunday. "Good days will come, better days will come.
"Like I always say, it will not rain forever here and the sun will shine. We know it's just a matter of time.
"We have to continue working hard and pushing ourselves, stay together and stay positive, because in the end there are still a lot of games to go, a lot of competitions where we can fight.
"So we are all excited and very positive about the season."
He added: "We are all happy to have him, a very positive coach.
"He played years ago, so he knows how to manage a dressing room. So we are all happy and very positive."
Manchester United lost their first two home games in the UEFA Europa League, losing to Frank de Boer's Ajax and Marcelo Bielsa's Athletic Club in 2011-12. Since then, they've lost just one out of 26 at Old Trafford in the competition (W19 D6).
