Liverpool fans are dreaming of a potential move for Jude Bellingham after Trent Alexander-Arnold spent the evening with the Borussia Dortmund midfielder on Wednesday.

The duo helped England secure their place in the last 16 of the World Cup with a 3-0 win over Wales, with the Three Lions topping Group B having accumulated seven points from a possible nine. Gareth Southgate's side will now face Senegal on Sunday for a place in the quarter-final against either France or Poland.

Bellingham has started every game for the Three Lions at the tournament so far, while Alexander-Arnold made his first World Cup appearance in the success against Wales at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium. Marcus Rashford's brace and a Phil Foden strike earned a comfortable win over Rob Page's men as the Three Lions continued their unbeaten start to the competition.

Southgate gave his side the day off to recover, with some players spending the afternoon by the pool, while others were hard working on the treadmill and in the gym. Declan Rice, who turned in another impressive showing, shared an image of himself and Callum Wilson by the pool on Instagram with the caption: "Recovery settings".

Meanwhile, in the evening, Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham decided to take a stroll into Doha to toast the Three Lions' success. The pair walked to the Raffles, which is a hotel exclusively open to World Cup guests and VIPs who are visiting for the tournament. The 132-key property offers 270 rooms, 92 suites, four themed suites, and one presidential suite, with views of the Doha skyline part of the experience.

Alexander-Arnold posted a photo on Twitter with the caption: "Stroll in the City with Bro @BellinghamJude." The England duo have formed a close bond in recent years since the Stourbridge-born ace made his England debut back in 2021 and they seem extremely close while out in Qatar as the Three Lions look to bring the trophy home.

However, Liverpool supporters have offered a cheeky message to Alexander-Arnold with Bellingham linked with a move to Anfield. One Red posted on Reddit that "agent Trent has been busy" during his time away from his club, while another added that "Trent definitely know what he's doing" given the rumours surrounding the 19-year-old.

The Reds could also have an advantage in the race to sign Bellingham ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City after Conor Coady revealed that Jordan Henderson looks after the former Birmingham midfield while in the England camp. The 31-year-old has a wealth of experience in the game and could help Bellingham's rise.

"Talking about Hendo and how he leads by the examples he sets. What he's like in training. Driving people. I think he's a massive factor in it and getting on with everybody in the group," Coady told Lions Den

"He looks after Jude like there is no tomorrow. Jude is a young lad, sometimes we forget that because he is so mature and a fantastic footballer. I would say someone like Henderson and [Kyle] Walker set the example.

"He said something the other day about his mum making his bed, no word of a lie. We are talking about Jude Bellingham here, one of the best players in the world, and Hendo sat up at dinner and went 'What?' and Jude went 'Yeah, my mum makes my bed'. So Hendo is battering him."
