The Aston Villa legend received death threats and abuse for injuring One Direction star Louis Tomlinson in a charity match for Stilyan Petrov's foundation in 2013.
The match was at Celtic Park to raise money for Petrov's charity after his battle with Leukaemia.
But Agbonlahor, who had been a teammate of the Bulgarian's at Aston Villa, left 1D star Tomlinson on a heap and vomiting on the side of the pitch shortly after half-time.
And he's now revealed an army of diehard One Direction fans were far from happy their idol had been harmed.
Gabby, who checked on Tomlinson's well being at the time, discussed the incident on talkSPORT and even revealed that Celtic icon Henrik Larsson asked him to apologise for his challenge.
You can read his exchange with co-hosts Ally McCoist and Laura Woods on the Breakfast show in full, below…
Woods: "I've got an email here, says 'there could be another old codger taking to the court (for the Masters) but he's still serving a lengthy ban after a vicious tackle on a certain pop star…"
McCoist: "That's poor, Gab.
"I mean, that's poor. What happened?"
Woods: "That's between you and Louis Tomlinson from One Direction, right?"
Agbonlahor: "It was a game for Petrov's charity and I just remember going over and you know a shoulder barge, Ally?"
McCoist: "Yeah."
Agbonlahor: "I think because he'd been drinking the night before in the hotel, obviously he was a bit hungover so he was sick by the side of the pitch.
"Martin O'Neill wasn't happy!
"But I remember after the game, Ally, I got a good telling off from Henrik Larsson!"
McCoist: "Is that right?!"
Agbonlahor: "Yeah, he was like, 'you have to apologise, come on, you don't do that'."
"I was like, 'sorry mate I didn't mean to'. It was a charity game, yes, but you don't lose that edge do you?"
McCoist (giggling): "Was Henrik wanting you to apologise?"
Agbonlahor: "Yeah, well he wasn't happy. I was like, 'calm down, Henrik'."
McCoist: "Love it."
Agbonlahor: "I was getting death threats off teenage girls: 'How dare you touch my Louis Tomlinson?'
"I was like, 'right let's get out of here, Glasgow Airport, let me escape in one piece!"
