Wolfsburg are no strangers in allowing their top stars to move to the Woman's Super League for record fees.

The German side previously sanctioned Pernille Harder's £250,000 move to Chelsea from Wolfsburg in September 2020.

The Blues also feature another two times in the top ten, having banked £250,000 - a domestic record fee for a British player - when Bethany England moved to Tottenham in January.

The transfer broke the current record set by Lauren James after she completed a £200,000 switch to join brother Reece at Stamford Bridge in 2021.

There remains only one transfer in the top ten that did not take place in the last three years and that involved Ronaldo Nazario's ex-wife Milene Domingues.

In 2002, she followed her then-husband to Spain where she was signed by Rayo Vallecano for £200,000.

Domingues' deal was ten times the previous transfer record for a female footballer in Spain and it stood for two decades.
