The Hammers star is captaining the side in their Europa League clash with the Greek side, a fixture that they were already losing 1-0 before his nightmare intervention.
However, the centre back was left with egg on his face when an in-swinging cross from the right flank caught him off guard.
Flailing a leg at the cross, Ogbonna inadvertently sent the ball flying past goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and into his own net.
"Captain for the night, Captain Calamity as far as that goal is concerned and West Ham have a monumental task on their hands now."

Ogbonna has certainly found opportunities hard to come by at West Ham this year.
In all competitions, the defender has now made five appearances with just two of those coming in the Premier League.
Lukas Paqueta did manage to get one goal back late on with a sublime strike, but it was little more than a consolation.
With West Ham going on to lose 2-1, it means that the club's 17-match unbeaten run in Europe has finally coming to an end.
