Wednesday's Serie A predictions including Spezia vs. Juventus

As the only Serie A team yet to claim a single point so far this season, basement club Salernitana will be hoping that their fortunes can turn at home against Hellas Verona on Wednesday evening.

The two sides have never faced each other in the Italian top flight, though they have locked horns on 38 occasions in Serie B, with Verona winning 16 of those meetings.

Still seeking their first Serie A victory of the new campaign, Italian giants Juventus will be hoping to climb out of the relegation zone with a win against Spezia on Wednesday evening.

The hosts, meanwhile, will be looking to claim their second triumph over the Old Lady, having previously won 3-2 against them when both sides competed in Serie B back in 2007.

Juventus have already failed to win two Serie A matches against sides who finished in the bottom half of the table last season, so they cannot take Spezia lightly, especially as the hosts come into this fixture in high spirits.

Newly-promoted Empoli will be looking to claim their second successive away victory in Serie A when they travel to Cagliari on Wednesday evening.

The hosts, meanwhile, have yet to claim all three points so far this season, accumulating just two from a possible 12 available.

Both sides will be keen to put together a good run of form in the coming weeks and will view Wednesday's fixture as a good opportunity to claim all three points.

However, with little to separate the two teams struggling in and around the relegation zone, an entertaining score draw could be on the cards at the Sardegna Arena.

AC Milan vs. Venezia (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

AC Milan will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the new Serie A campaign when they host newly-promoted Venezia on Wednesday evening.

The two sides will meet for the first time since February 2002, when they Rossoneri claimed a 4-1 victory away from home.

We say: AC Milan 2-0 Venezia

AC Milan will be strong favourites to claim all three points on Wednesday, even though a number of first-team players are ruled out injured.
