The 27-year-old has been on the books at Villa Park for the last three years from Kasimpasa, but his contract is now due to expire in under 12 months' time.
After spending the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir, Trezeguet is now supposedly set to return to the Super Lig on a permanent basis.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Egypt international is now set to sign for Trabzonspor in a deal that will pocket Steven Gerrard's side £4.25m.
Trezeguet managed six goals and four assists in 13 Super Lig outings for Basaksehir last season, and he prepares to leave Villa after scoring nine goals and setting up five more in 64 appearances.
Meanwhile, Andreas Pereira is due to return to Manchester United for pre-season training from Flamengo, but the Brazilian midfielder has no intention of leaving his homeland.
Pereira was shipped out on loan to Flamengo last summer after falling down the pecking order at Man United and has impressed with seven goals and three assists in 51 outings in all tournaments.
After scoring a sublime winner in the Copa Libertadores against Deportes Tolima, Pereira affirmed his desire to stay at Flamengo amid reports of an £11m offer from Fulham.
"I'm not the one who decides - it's up to Man United. I would like to stay at Flamengo, but it's not in my hands. I'll see what's best for me and the club," the 26-year-old told reporters.
"I love Flamengo. We will soon speak and decide. My relationship between me and Flamengo has always been very good. This year was incredible for me. If it doesn't work out, I'll always leave with my head held high. I love the club, I love Flamengo, I'm Flamengo. I will come back in the future."
Since joining Man United's academy in the January 2012, Pereira has gone on to score four goals and provide five assists in 75 appearances for the Red Devils in all tournaments.
Over in Scotland, Rangers' attacking line is reportedly set to be bolstered by the acquisition of PAOK striker Antonio Colak for a £1.8m fee.
The Croatia international hit 19 goals in 40 appearances for Malmo during a loan spell with the Swedish giants last year and is due to become a free agent in the summer of 2024.
According to the Daily Mail, Rangers are inching closer to a £1.8m agreement for the signing of Colak as Giovanni van Bronckhorst aims to replace the departed Amad Diallo and Cedric Itten.
Colak is believed to have already agreed personal terms with the Europa League finalists and prepares to leave PAOK after scoring just four times in 38 matches for the Greek outfit.
The 28-year-old would take on Rangers with Malmo in the third round of Champions League Qualifying last year, and he helped to eliminate the Scottish side with a brace in a 4-2 aggregate win.
Finally, potential suitors for James Ward-Prowse will likely be left frustrated in their pursuit of the midfielder, who apparently has no interest in quitting Southampton this summer.
The 27-year-old was nominated for the Premier League's Player of the Year after a stellar 2021-22 campaign, in which he scored 10 goals and set up five more in 36 top-flight outings.
The dead-ball specialist had supposedly attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and West Ham United, but talkSPORT claims that he is not considering an exit from St Mary's.
Ward-Prowse featured in Southampton's recent kit reveal for the 2022-23 season and is seemingly set to extend his stay at the club to over two decades since arriving at their academy in 2003.
Since being promoted to the senior squad, Ward-Prowse has amassed 44 goals and 48 assists in 362 games for the Saints and only signed a new deal until 2026 last year.
