Transfer news LIVE: Liverpool agree fee for Nunez plus Kounde and Bowen updates

Liverpool have agreed an initial £64million transfer fee with Benfica for Darwin Nunez and the biggest deal of the summer of so far could be completed as early as Monday.

Yet the Reds aren't the only Premier League side in the market. Manchester United were also keen on Nunez as Erik ten Hag looks to make an impact at Old Trafford with several reinforcements needed.

They are ready to join the race for Robert Lewandowski with Chelsea also in the mix, although they need to offload Romelu Lukaku and add new faces to their backline following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Joejoe Kenny will join Hertha Berlin on a free transfer, according to German outlet BILD.

The right-back, 25, will leave Everton when is contract expires later this month.

Inter Milan are set to sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer, according to GOAL.

The Argentina international, 28, is a free agent after leaving Juventus at the end of the season.

Arsenal and Tottenham were also believed to be interested in Dybala.

It's believed the England international is on Mikel Arteta's transfer shortlist, which also contains Leeds ace Raphinha.

Chelsea have made a £42.6million bid for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, according to Marca via football.london.

The centre-back, 23, made 44 appearances for Sevilla last season and has 10 senior caps for France, winning the Nations League last October.

Chelsea's priority is to sign a new centre-back after releasing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Liverpool agree Nunez transfer fee

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Darwin Nunez.

The Portuguese giants have officially announced the two clubs have agreed a €75million (around £64m) transfer fee for the Uruguayan forward, 22, with the figure rising to €100m (around £85.3m) with add-ons.

The fee was agreed in the early hours of Monday morning and Liverpool are yet to announce the news.

The transfer is now expected to be completed and announced on Monday.

Nunez jetting to Liverpool

Darwin Nunez is edging closer to a Liverpool switch and a possible flight chartering him to Merseyside has been scheduled for Monday morning, according to hopeful Reds fans.

The Benfica forward smashed the 30-goal barrier last term, putting himself firmly on the radar of Europe's elite. Liverpool look to have won the race for his signature after an agreement was reached with the Portuguese outfit. Nunez, currently in Almeria, needs to jet to Liverpool to finalise aspects of his deal.

And a potential route looks to have been cleared for tomorrow as fans have noticed a private flight has been scheduled going from Almeria to Chester at 10.28am on Monday.
