"It'll be interesting to see how she does over the course of the season too."
Fishel, who joined Chelsea for a reported fee of just over £200,000 had her dream debut in the opening game of the WSL as she scored the first goal in her club's 2-1 victory over Tottenham.
The 22-year-old holds an impressive record of scoring 38 goals in 48 games for her previous club, Mexico's Tigres, and has already made her mark on the WSL.
After the success of the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Spencer told talkSPORT that the influx of world-class talent to the WSL was a reflection of how far the English league has come in recent years.
She said: "The WSL is the best league in the world.
"There's just so many traits to it that a lot of leagues don't have. You've got to be technically very good, you've got to have physicality, you've got to have a very good tactical brain as well. "
Spencer had a busy summer as she helped Jamaica reach the knockout stages of the Women's World Cup for the first time ever, also becoming the first Caribbean nation to make it that far in the tournament.
Jamaica were eventually knocked out in the Round of 16 by Colombia - who then went on to face England in the quarter-finals.
