'St Meeks' gets Messi lookalike to give Carragher wild Christmas present

Messi previously opted against appearing on the American television network due to his rocky relationship with the Liverpool legend.

Carragher revealed he received a direct message on Instagram from the Barcelona legend and eight-time Ballon d'Or himself.

Messi labelled the popular pundit a 'burro' in Spanish, which translates to 'd' in English.

The show opted to use a Messi lookalike wearing an Argentina shirt to deliver a Christmas message to Carragher.

"This is a message for Jamie," he said on Wednesday night.
