They may have missed out on a fourth consecutive victory, but Iceland can be pleased that they head into the encounter with Italy off the back of a four-game unbeaten run.

Although the draw against Belgium continues Iceland's poor form in European Championship games, with their 11 games in the tournament's history resulting in only one victory.

Thorsteinn Halldorsson's side can at least take confidence from their recent run of form, which has resulted in Iceland winning nine of their previous 11 matches.

Despite conceding five goals in their tournament opener, Bertolini is set to persist with the same back four that started the game against France.

After Martina Rosucci came off the bench at half time in Sunday's contest, the 30-year-old may be given a starting place for the encounter with Iceland.

Despite scoring against France, Piemonte may have to settle for a place on the bench once again, with Cristiana Girelli expected to feature in the front three alongside Valentina Bergamaschi and Barbara Bonansea.

As for Iceland, they are expected to name an unchanged lineup for Thursday's contest, which would see Glodis Viggosdottir and Gudrun Arnardottir continue their centre-back partnership.

Iceland's record caps holder and current captain Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir will feature in a midfield alongside Dagny Brynjarsdottir and Gunnhildur Yrsa Jonsdottir.

Meanwhile, Thordvaldsdottir will be looking to add to the goal she scored against Belgium when she leads the line for her country on Thursday.
