New York City FC has 29 points and winning these two matches can definitely propel them to the top of the table in their zone. They are the highest-scoring team with 33 scored goals in the East and have the third best defense with only 19 goals allowed so far. Whereas New England Revolution has one of the least impressive goal differences in the entire league with 29 scored against 28 allowed.
New York City FC seeks to break that drawing streak.
Over the last two games, the New York City FC team has gotten two consecutive draws against Cincinnati and Atlanta United. They tied 4-4 against the former and 2-2 against the laadder. Against NEw England, they obviously want to break that streak that doesn't allow them to be at the top of the table right now. Clearly, this is the rival to beat for the rest of the Eastern Conference clubs.
