The much-anticipated release of the film is edging ever closer with cinemas getting ready to open their doors to excited fans on Friday July 21.
The film is headlined by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and if that isn't enough, fans will now also get a glimpse of the 16-time world champion.
Cena is set to show his array of skill sets by swapping his usual tough-guy persona for that of a merman named 'Kenmaid.'
A picture was posted to the Twitter account DiscussingFilm, showing the bare-chested 46-year-old wearing a blonde wig and a shell necklace.
Unfortunately, for many, there is no picture of Cena's bottom half to tell if he was sporting a merman's tale.

Cena was previously quizzed on the upcoming movie and the wrestler-turned-actor revealed that fans will be in for a treat when Barbie is released later this week.
He said: "I think it's going to be a movie that all audiences enjoy. I think it's going to be a movie that evokes conversation when people can get into a fiery debate about something.
"I think that's good, I like that… versatility, I guess."
Australian actress Robbie, lifted the lid on how Cena landed his cameo role, revealing she may have pulled a few strings after Cena displayed an act of kindness in a London restaurant.

"It happened while we were filming in London. I ran into him at a restaurant and we'd worked together before," said Robbie.
"I ran into him because I went to pay the bill and they told me, 'John Cena already took care of it.'
"I was like, 'what? Where is he because he's a big guy'.
"I found him and asked him what he was doing here.
"He told me he was shooting [a movie]. He was shooting at Leavesden [studios] where we shot the film as well so I told him, 'that's where we're shooting Barbie. Do you want to come and be a merman in Barbie?'
"He was like, 'yeah.'
"[I thought] surely he wasn't just going to agree to it just like that? And he did!
"He's so awesome like that."
