Youssoufa Moukoko's agent has confirmed his client is not close to signing a new contract with Borussia Dortmund as reported.
It was believed the Germany international, 18, would put pen to paper on a fresh deal with Dortmund, dashing the hopes of potential suitors. Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the youngster, with Liverpool and Chelsea also tracking his progress.
Yet Moukoko and Dortmund are yet to agree an extension. The player's agent Patrick Williams has confirmed an update on his client's future will be provided in "the next few days" and that "every top club in the world" will be interested in signing Moukoko.
The teenager's contract expires in June, leaving Premier League clubs on red alert. As reported by The Metro, there were rumours in Germany that his salary at Dortmund would increase from £4,000-a-week to £115,000-a-week - but Williams has denied this.
"I can confirm that we are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund," Williams told Sky Germany. "I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that much.
"But we are still in contact with Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring. A player like Youssoufa is interesting for every top club in the world. Especially when he is free and has a future in the German national team."

Moukoko has made a name for himself at Dortmund since making his Bundesliga debut a day after his 16th birthday in November 2020. He's scored six goals and provided six assists in all competitions to earn a spot in Germany's squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
Moukoko made his senior debut for Germany in their famous 2-1 defeat to Japan last month to become his country's youngest player to feature at a men's World Cup. He was eligible to play for Cameroon after being born in Yaounde, the African country's capital.
Moukoko was lauded as the "biggest talent in the world right now" by Erling Haaland after his Dortmund debut. The Manchester City striker, who left Dortmund for the Premier League six months ago, also said Moukoko was "much better" than he was at 16.
"I think he's the biggest talent in the world right now," Haaland told the Bundesliga's website in November 2020. "He's 16 years and one day old, that's amazing. He has a big career ahead of him. We're lucky to have him."
Owen Hargreaves, meanwhile, told BT Sport in October: "The numbers throughout the youth ranks have been off the charts, he [Moukoko] has always played two, three years ahead. He's always producing numbers, can he do it in men's football?
"And he's been doing it. I think we'll see a great athlete and one of those players I'm sure all the Premier League teams will be looking at. To be producing at this level at 17 is incredible."
