Aston Villa secured a stunning victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford - their first against the Red Devils in 12 years.
The game was a hard fought affair with little in it before it exploded into life in the final five minutes, Kortney Hause guiding his header beyond David de Gea to spark wild celebrations in the away end.
Bruno Fernandes had the chance to salvage a point for United, but he smashed his last-gasp spot-kick high and wide as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men saw their unbeaten run come to an end.
The late penalty miss only adds another layer to the recent public war of words between Solskjaer and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp over the amount of penalties United are awarded.
Here are the game's main talking points as United suffered a dismal loss.
Aston Villa's dismal run finally ends

After a 12 year wait for a win against Manchester United of any kind, Aston Villa finally secured a memorable three points at Old Trafford - the first since Gabriel Agbonlahor's winner in December of 2009.
This was no smash and grab victory, Smith's men undeniably the better of the two sides - showing no sign of fear against the likes of Ronaldo, Fernandes and co.
A dramatic last-gasp header from Kortney Hause flashed past De Gea and into the back of the Spaniard's net.
The 26-year-old got the run on his man and guided his effort beyond the keeper to hand Villa a stunning win.
Bruno Fernandes remarkably smashed his late penalty over the bar to ensure Villa held on.
More midfield woes for United
Another game, another advert for how desperately United need a midfielder in the traditional number six role.
The hosts found it incredibly difficult to link their defence up to their attack, the likes of Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes passengers for much of the contest.
Fred endured another tricky afternoon in which John McGinn ran the Brazilian ragged, while Scott McTominay was wasteful in possession before eventually being replaced.
Ironically, Douglas Luiz put on the exact kind of performance that would be welcomed with open arms by the United faithful if we were donning the famous red shirt, the Villa star keeping things ticking over nicely while constantly feeding Ollie Watkins.
Greenwood shows England what they're missing

HAVE YOUR SAY! Will United be in the title race this season? Comment below.
In the wake of reports that Solskajer has requested Gareth Southgate hold fire on phasing Greenwood back into the international fold, the 19-year-old enjoyed an impressive display in which he was a thorn in the side of Aston Villa from the opening exchanges.
Southgate was watching on from the upper tier and would have liked what he saw from United's most promising youngster.
United did not find it particularly difficult to beat Villa's press - ensuring Greenwood had plenty of grass to showcase his startling pace and create opportunities.
The teenager undeniably should have had his fourth goal of the season around 20 minutes in, his deft shift on to his right-foot leaving Tyrone Mings beaten all ends up - but his finish could only find the palms of Emiliano Martinez between the sticks.
A similar chance presented itself in the second half, but that too was comfortably saved by the Villa shot-stopper.
Luke Shaw injury concerns

The sight of Luke Shaw, a talent who has revitalised his United career in recent years and become an integral part of Solskjaer's squad, limping straight down the tunnel would have concerned every member of the Old Trafford faithful.
The left-back was replaced by Diogo Dalot just after the hour half mark in scenes that will no doubt worry Solskjaer, especially as match-day two of the Champions League group stage is just around the corner.
Having succumbed to a shock-defeat away at BSC Young Boys last time out, United need a win at home to Villarreal and now will most likely have to do so without one of their first-choice defenders.
While perfectly capable as a deputy, Dalot struggles to offer the kind of attacking prowess United boast with Shaw in the side.
Harry Maguire meets the same fate
Things got even worse for United less than an hour later, when the second member of their first choice back four was forced to end his afternoon early after Harry Maguire was replaced by Victor Lindelof.
The United captain appeared to injure himself during a collision with Danny Ings and though he played on for around five minutes after the incident, the England international looked in discomfort the entire time.
Maguire's calf injury means United could be without two of their most important stars for a crucial run in October which sees Solskjaer's side take on the likes of Leicester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur with Champions League fixtures wedged in between.
