Despite being limited to youth team appearances at club level, the winger has made the grade for his country, earning seven caps for Uruguay.
Pellistri has been a near-constant in 2022 under new manager Diego Alonso, featuring in seven of their nine matches this year, starting six of those friendlies and qualifiers, registering two assists.

And now the youngster is a near-certainty to star at the Qatar World Cup, with his agent revealing a move away from Old Trafford will soon follow.
Speaking to ESPN Uruguay, Edgardo Lasalvia said: "I think with a good World Cup, as we think he is going to have, his departure [from United] is imminent."
Signed for a reported £7.65million, Pellistri has spent the past two seasons on loan at Spanish side Alaves.
The winger racked up 35 appearances across all competitions but failed to score a goal for a side that were relegated from LaLiga last season.

Returning to Old Trafford this summer, Pellistri has found his path to the first team blocked by the likes of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and summer signing Antony.
Even fellow youngsters Anthony Elanga and Alejandro Garnacho are ahead of Pellistri in the pecking order, seeing him remain on the bench for all nine of his senior squad appearances this season.
