Manchester City's promising youngster Kayky endured a wretched introduction to English football.
The exciting forward, aged just 18, signed from Brazilian side Fluminese for an initial £9million. He was initially set to join City in January 2022 but the move was brought forward over the summer.
On Tuesday night he made his long-awaited first outing but it ended in disaster - with a 5-0 loss in an EFL Trophy tie at Rotherham.
Kayky has spent time training with City's first team since his arrival in England as he looks to settle into life at the Etihad.
And such is the hype around him that manager Pep Guardiola spoke at length about the youngster in the aftermath of a recent Champions League win.

Guardiola told Brazilian outlet TNT Sports : "He's just arrived. Had some knee problems. He's training with us, getting to know us, getting to know English football.
"He's very young. We know of his talent, otherwise he wouldn't have come, or City wouldn't have signed him.
"He's very smart, very prepared. Fernandinho talks to him a lot, our captains take care of things a lot, that's why Fernandinho is a jewel.
"Little by little he will be integrated, he will try to have matches for the second team, seek rhythm. And soon his performances will decide what to do."
That integration started as City's development squad headed to face League One Rotherham in their final group stage game of this season's Papa John's Trophy.
Kayky started on the bench but was summoned at half-time with the score goalless at the New York Stadium.
But he could surely not have predicted that it would finish with a 5-0 win for the third-tier hosts.
Kayky looked bright in sparks, drifting across the front three and creating space. He also fashioned a couple of half-decent scoring chances but in truth the hosts' experience and nous told in the end.
Kieran Sadlier stole the show with a hat-trick for the Millers, with Will Grigg and Jake Hull also chipping in.
The result means that City are awaiting favours if they are to progress to the next round of the competition.
Rotherham are through, having won all three games whilst City are currently second on three points but have also completed their three matches.
Scunthorpe host Doncaster on November 9 in the only remaining tie. The only way Brian Barry-Murphy's men will remain in the competition is if the Iron come out on top, but by no more than a five-goal swing.
Any other result will consign City to an early exit, something which probably wasn't in Guardiola's mind earlier this term when called for City to be allowed a B Team in the EFL.
