The Dragons are fourth in Group D, only ahead of winless minnows Latvia, and are on a miserable run of form.

Robert Page is under increasing pressure as Wales boss, with his side claiming just one win in the last 13 matches.

Wales have lost their last two qualifiers against Armenia and Turkey and were held by South Korea to a goalless stalemate in a friendly on Thursday.

But victory over 134th-ranked Latvia could move the Euro 2016 semi-finalists up to second behind Turkey, depending on other results.

"It's not a problem. I know what I've got in the changing room and the staff room.

"It's about winning games of football, I get that. But we also have to understand the opposition we're up against. People throw stats about, the transition we're in at the minute. We've lost some world-class senior players.

"We're asking the young players now like JJ to step up and we have to be patient. They're going to make mistakes. They're young players.

"So it's about that development as well."
