Michael Doyle signs new Cove Rangers contract
"Absolutely none, there's been a bit of back and fore with the gaffer and the Chairman over the past two weeks, but when they offered me the deal, I was delighted to stay," he told the club website when asked if he had any doubts about extending his stay.
"I've spoken with both about what they're looking for me to do over the next couple of years, and I'm excited for what lies ahead. I feel as if I'm here to help the club build something.
"Two months ago, I was thinking I might never play football again; the hard work I put in over the summer has definitely paid off.
"It's great to have certainty now. These kind of deals can be few and far between at this stage of your career, which is daft, because I'm probably fitter now that I've ever been."
Manager Paul Hartley added: "I've known Doyley a long time, going all the way back to our time together at Alloa, and I'm pleased we have got him tied-up. He's a good professional, he sets standards, and he is very demanding; exactly the sort of character you need in your squad.
"I can trust him out on the pitch, you hear him all the time encouraging his team-mates, and he's a consistent, reliable performer. I have no doubt he will be a big part of what we do over the next couple of years."

Huddersfield sign Rhys Healey from Watford
"I really like what Rhys brings to the teams he plays for," said manager Darren Moore.
"He's a natural goalscorer; he finds ways to score all different types of goals, and has done at every level throughout his career.
"He's also a tireless worker and a clever player. As a defender myself in my playing days, he would be the kind of player that is a real pain to play against!
"I think his qualities will mesh really well with the other strikers at the club."
Sporting director Mark Cartwright added: "We've followed Rhys for a long period and had a strong interest in bringing him to the club this summer, so we have worked very hard all this month to convince Watford to allow him to join us.
"We've been very clear in our desire to add quality strikers to our squad this month and Rhys is a proven goalscorer. He's very keen to show what he can do in a Huddersfield Town shirt and every reference we've got on him from his previous clubs has been glowing.
"We're delighted to get this move completed. Once again, I have to thank the owner for his backing on Rhys and throughout the window, as it has allowed us to really improve the squad."

Alan Forrest signs new Hearts contract
"It's great news that Alan has committed his future to the club," said manager Steven Naismith.
"He's a hard worker, always keen to learn and I think everyone can see his performances on the pitch continue to get better as the games go by.
"He's made a big impact here since joining and we're delighted he's going to be around for a while longer."
Sporting director Joe Savage added: "It's a big boost to get Alan's future sorted. He's a popular player in the dressing room and with the coaching staff, so for him to commit his future to Hearts is very positive.
"I have to give a big thanks to Alan's agent, Liam O'Donnell, for his assistance in getting the deal done.
"There are, of course, a few players approaching the end of their contracts and we're currently in discussions with them about extending. I'd like to think we'll have some more positive news on that front soon."

Hibs bring in Myziane Maolida on loan from Hertha Berlin
"Myziane is a very talented young player who has undoubted potential to play at the very highest level," said manager Nick Montgomery.
"For us to have the chance to sign a player of this calibre in January is an opportunity we worked hard to make happen, and we're grateful to Hertha Berlin for agreeing to facilitate this loan.
"At 24 he has already moved to some big clubs but has found himself not playing regularly. He's now hungry to get his career back on track. After numerous video calls, it was clear both parties really wanted to make this happen.
"Myziane can play centrally and wide, which is really important as we have been light in attacking options. I'm sure the supporters will be excited to see him in Hibs green and white for the rest of the season, and we will continue to search the market for additional signings."
