The Red Devils announced on Tuesday that Evans had signed a short-term deal with the club, allowing him to feature in the upcoming friendly encounters with Lyon and Wrexham.
Evans, who previously represented Man United's first team between 2006 and 2015, has been training with the club this month following his release from Leicester City at the end of June.
There are currently no indications that the 35-year-old will pen a longer-term deal with the Red Devils, but he is set to be involved in Wednesday's pre-season contest with Lyon.
Fred is in the travelling party, having recovered from the issue that forced him to miss last week's 2-0 victory over Leeds United in Oslo.
Meanwhile, there is also a spot for Donny van de Beek, who has fully recovered from the serious knee injury that he suffered at the start of January.
Both Fred and Van de Beek are being heavily linked with moves away from Man United this summer but are included alongside Mason Mount, who debuted against Leeds, playing the opening 45 minutes of the clash.
Interestingly, there is no Tom Heaton in the squad, with the experienced goalkeeper missing out due to an unspecified issue, so Nathan Bishop, Elyh Harrison and Matej Kovar will compete for minutes between the sticks.
Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka started against Leeds and are again in the squad, while there is a return for Antony, who missed the end of last season through injury.
Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill were the two goalscorers against Leeds, and the pair will be hoping for more minutes against Lyon, while Jadon Sancho and Amad Diallo are also in the squad.
Man United had the majority of their first-team squad back at Carrington on Saturday, but the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford again miss out, as they are building up their fitness at the training ground.
The 20-time English champions announced on Tuesday that Rashford had signed a new long-term deal, with his fresh terms running until June 2028.
Man United have another seven pre-season matches to play this summer, including four on their pre-season tour of the United States, tackling Arsenal, Wrexham, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
