The most successful national team in the history of this tournament are currently fourth in Group A, having picked up four points from their three matches, and the 2-0 success over Bolivia last time out saw them advance to the quarter-finals with a match to spare.
Tabarez will want to make changes, pulling out the likes of Diego Godin, Federico Valverde and Edinson Cavani, but Uruguay will not be content with fourth spot in the section, as that would see them take on Brazil in the final eight.
As a result, there are expected to be spots in the side for Jose Gimenez and Luis Suarez, while Nicolas De La Cruz, who has recently been linked with Manchester United, should start again.
There will be alterations, though, with Rodrigo Bentancur, Facundo Torres, Maxi Gomez, Giovanni Gonzalez and Martin Caceres all in line for spots in the side.
Lucas Torreira and Sebastian Coates could also be in the first XI for the Sky Blues, who could potentially still finish top of Group A depending on Argentina's result against Bolivia.
Uruguay possible starting lineup: Muslera; Caceres, Gimenez, Coates, Gonzalez; Torreira, Bentancur, De La Cruz, Torres; Suarez, Gomez
