After an inconsistent run since taking a one-goal lead in the first leg at San Siro, Inter are set to make several changes from the side that lost to Spezia on Friday evening, with first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana poised to return in place of club captain Samir Handanovic.
Inter were indebted to Onana for his series of saves when Porto visited Italy last month, while Romelu Lukaku's late goal split the sides in Milan.
The Belgian frontman has struggled to hit top form since returning from injury, so will have to battle it out with veteran striker Edin Dzeko to partner the Nerazzurri's leading scorer Lautaro Martinez up front.
Under-fire coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to bring both Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco back into his starting XI, with Robin Gosens and possibly Marcelo Brozovic making way.
While Joaquin Correa recently rejoined full training and could appear as a substitute if required, defensive rock Milan Skriniar may not be available because of a back injury.
Stefan de Vrij could provide cover for the latter, or Matteo Darmian is versatile enough to fill in on the right side of Inzaghi's favoured back three.
Inter Milan possible starting lineup: Onana; De Vrij, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martinez, Lukaku
