Fulham v Leeds commentary: Silva and Bielsa face off in Carabao Cup third round

Leeds have been poor in the top-flight so far this season and are without a win in their opening five games.

Fulham lost their last game to an injury-stricken Reading team 2-1 but are still second in the Championship after eight matches.

Leeds saw off Crewe Alexandra in the last round of the cup while Fulham dominated their second round match against Championship counterparts Birmingham.

Fulham v Leeds: Confirmed team news

Fulham will be looking to put out a full-strength side after their recent run in the Championship came to an end at the weekend.

The Whites have a couple of long-term injuries with the likes of Kenny Tete and Tom Cairney out.

New signing Nathaniel Chalobah got his first appearance at the weekend and should feature again on Tuesday evening.

Leeds have been plagued with injury worries this season and should be welcoming a return for Diego Llorente and Robin Koch this weekend but the midweek fixture could be too soon for them.

Bielsa was forced to delve into his youth squad on Friday and could be looking to change things up again for the cup match.

Raphinha came off with a knock against Newcastle and the extent of that issue is unconfirmed.

Pascal Struijk won't be available as he will be serving his three-match suspension after his tackle on Harvey Elliott.

Jack Harrison is likely to miss this game after a positive COVID-19 test saw him miss the Newcastle game.
