FA Cup third round draw: Date, time, ball numbers, prize money and how to follow

This weekend saw the second round ties get decided and now the big boys are set to enter the historic tournament.

The third round is when clubs from the Premier League and Championship join the competition, meaning that a potential draw with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal could be on the cards.

Here's what you need to know ahead of the FA Cup third round draw.

FA Cup draw: Date and time

The draw for the FA Cup third round proper is set to take place on Monday, December 6 before the final second round tie between Boreham Wood and St Albans City.

It will begin at 7pm UK time.

Fixtures are set to be played on the weekend of Friday, January 7 to Monday, January 3.

While it won't mean much to clubs at the top end of the pyramid, a victory in the FA Cup third round can be lucrative for those in the lower leagues.
