Goals from Filip Kostic and Daichi Kamada in Spain earned Frankfurt a 2-1 advantage over Real Betis in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League round of 16 on Thursday, but it is back to the bread and butter of the Bundesliga on Sunday before the Spaniards arrive in Frankfurt for the second leg next week. A 4-1 win at Hertha Berlin last weekend got the Eagles back into the race for European qualification via their league position, and with it ended a run of three straight losses. Boosted also by their midweek win, Oliver Glasner's men will be brimming with confidence against Bochum and the head coach has the option of sticking with the same starting XI. He might twist and make a few changes in view of the second leg against Betis, though, with Jens Petter Hauge one alternative to Jesper Lindstrom.

Bochum put a significant chunk of daylight between themselves and the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Greuther Fürth, edging them closer to the magical 40-point mark considered to be a guarantee of survival. Three more on Sunday would take them to within five points of that target, and coach Thomas Reis has only a few doubts regarding his choice of which players to send out at Deutsche Bank Park. Cristian Gamboa is suspended so Konstantinos Stafylidis should come in, while Erhan Masovic should replace Maxim Leitsch, who is unavailable.
