The England captain is thriving in Germany after making the move from Tottenham this summer and he is already breaking records.

Kane has scored 12 goals in only nine games for Bayern which is a tally that has never been achieved across so few matches in the league.

That form has helped Thomas Tuchel's side remain unbeaten so far this campaign, sitting second in the table behind Leverkusen.

Dortmund are also undefeated this season but they are down in fourth, two points behind their bitter rivals ahead of the Der Klassiker.

Dortmund vs Bayern: Head-to-head history and form

Bayern have dominated the Der Klassiker in recent years, winning eight of the last ten league games against Dortmund.

They have controlled the Bundesliga in that time with their rivals struggling to keep up with their quality.

BVB's last league win came in November 2018 when they won 3-2 after goals from Marco Reus and Paco Alcacer turned the game around.

Away from the Bundesliga, Dortmund's last win still came four years ago, with Bayern not losing in any competition against them since then.

Ahead of the latest meeting, Bayern come into the clash after incredibly winning 8-0 last weekend.

Kane scored a hat-trick while Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane both hit doubles and Thomas Muller got in on the act.

Dortmund drew against Frankfurt thanks to a late strike from Julian Brandt saving them from losing for the first time this season.

Kane scored a spectacular goal from the halfway line last time out as he hit a hat-trick in an 8-0 win over Darmstadt.

Speaking about the goal, he said: "I turned on the ball and I just saw the goalkeeper in a strange position out of the corner of my eye.

"We were 4-0 up at the time so I thought why not have a shot?

"As the ball was in the air, I was just praying for it to dip just below the bar and thankfully it did."

Kick-off at Signal Iduna Park is scheduled for 5:30pm UK time.
