Arsenal star Declan Rice and Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou are among those nominated for FIFA Best Awards.

The eighth edition of FIFA Best has brought forth an array of elite names from across the globe.

Rice, who completed a big-money move to Arsenal in the summer, has been named among the nominees the Best Men's Players after a sensational season leading West Ham to Europa Conference League glory.

And he has fitted in straight away at the Emirates Stadium where Mikel Arteta has made him a key player.

Among the other Premier League candidates are five Manchester City players - Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Julian Alvarez, who all won the treble at the Etihad Stadium while the latter also landed the World Cup.

Ilkay Gundogan was also among the City players to make the list although he joined Barcelona in the summer after his contract expired.

As well as players, coaches have also been honoured among the list of nominees - and Tottenham boss Postecoglou is among the elite group of five.

His nomination comes after a fine campaign with Celtic, who topped the Scottish Premiership with their dashing style of play.

Moving to Tottenham has seen the Australian's ideas transpire with astonishing haste and Spurs have started in electric fashion.

Along with Postecoglou, four other bosses have been nominated including City's Pep Guardiola, which is no surprise considering the treble swoop last season.

Simone Inzaghi of Inter Milan, Luciano Spaletti, who won Serie A with Napoli before becoming Italy boss and Barcelona boss Xavi are the other three candidates.

Among the women's cohort, England boss Sarina Wiegman has been nominated for The Best FIFA Women's Coach after taking the Lionesses to the World Cup final.

Ultimately, England fell at the final hurdle but it has been a remarkable 12 months after winning the European Championship last year.

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes was also named among the candidates but Jorge Vilda, who won the World Cup with Spain, has been left out.

There's English interest in the Best Women's player shortlist with four Lionesses - Rachel Daly, Alex Greenwood, Lauren James and Keira Walsh - in contention to win the best women's player prize. Meanwhile, Mary Earps has been nominated for the best women's goalkeeper award.
