Pep Guardiola's side have endured a mix start to their European campaign after their victory over RB Leipzig was followed up by a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
A trip to Brugge will be a challenge, but one that the Citizens will be keen to overcome.
Philippe Clement's side are reigning champions in Belgium and will be looking to make a real statement against the English champions.
These two sides have never met competitively and a win for either would put them top of the group ahead of PSG's clash with Leipzig later tonight.

Club Brugge v Manchester City: Team news
The Belgian champions come into the clash with no selection worries as Clement has a fully fit squad to choose from.
Former Liverpool and Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is likely to be involved, as is Scotland international Jack Hendry.
Meanwhile, City will be without defender John Stones.
The England centre-back has not travelled due to personal reasons but Brazil pair Ederson and Gabriel Jesus could return after flying straight to Belgium following international duty last week.
Ferran Torres is out with a broken foot but Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko are back in contention.
Club Brugge v Manchester City: What has been said?
Pep Guardiola spoke of the threat of Club Brugge, saying: "Top side, what we have seen is the physicality, they know what to do, incredibly aggressive team.
"(They've got) lots of quality upfront. Since March scoring goals [in every home game] is because they are good.
"We go there, four games left, 12 points to fight to qualify for the last 16.
"We try to win the next three. We have a plan, the mentality will be the same.
"Adjust them, hopefully the way we play let them adjust as much as possible. Control the game and try to get a result."
