The former Liverpool defender was asked to name his best XI from the past 12 months alongside Kate Abdo, Alex Scott and Micah Richards during a CBS Sports broadcast.
Bellingham joined the panel live via video link as the picks were revealed with Carragher joining forces with Abdo, while Richards and Scott paired up to create their own team.
The Real Madrid sensation admitted to siding with Carragher's team by the time the pundit had revealed his back four but Bellingham quickly changed his stance when the midfield trio were announced.
As he announced his first pick, Carragher cheekily said: "For me, this is the easiest choice I've had to make. I am going to pick a young superstar from England who has lit the Champions League alight this season. For me, it has to be only one man. I'm going to choose… Declan Rice."
The studio quickly erupted into fits of laughter which prompted Bellingham to respond: "I'm liking the look of Micah's team more and more."

Richards repaid the 20-year-old's support by selecting him in his Team of the Year but it didn't end there between Carragher and Bellingham.
Carragher later opted for a front three of Lionel Messi, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe and serenaded his pick: "Look at that front three," he said. "I mean, could you ever pick a better front three than that? You've got Mbappe. The best player in the world right now. You've got Messi, the GOAT."
However, Bellingham took issue with the balance of the chosen trio and hit back saying: "I don't think there's enough energy in there, a lot of walking." Richards also added "there's no legs". A stunned Carragher then replied: "You don't think there's enough energy there?"
The ex-Reds ace went on to complete his team which saw Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne join Declan Rice in midfield.
