Tuesday's League One predictions including Ipswich Town vs. Morecambe

Bolton vs. Forest Green (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

After losing to Derby County on Saturday, Bolton Wanderers will be looking to bounce back when they face Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be aiming to end their poor run of form after failing to win any of their last seven games in all competitions.

Although Forest Green emerged victorious in the reverse fixture, they have lost six of their last seven competitive games, and we think that they will be edged out by a Bolton side, who usually perform well on home turf.

Peterborough United will be bidding to stay in touch with the playoff positions in League One when they head to struggling Burton Albion on Tuesday night.

Burton have the fourth-worst home record in League One this season, and it is difficult to back them at the moment due to their recent struggles. Sheffield Wednesday will be bidding to make it six straight League One victories when they travel to an out-of-form Cheltenham Town side on Tuesday night.

The visitors are currently second in the table, three points behind leaders Plymouth Argyle, while Cheltenham occupy 18th, just four points above the relegation zone ahead of the mid-week matches.

We say: Cheltenham Town 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday are on a roll at the moment, and it is extremely difficult to back against them here. Cheltenham are certainly capable of making it a tricky encounter, and we are expecting it to be close in terms of the scoreline, but the visitors should have enough quality to claim an important three points.

After a four-game unbeaten run was ended with a 2-0 defeat to Portsmouth on Saturday, Exeter City will be looking for a response when they welcome Barnsley to St James' Park on Tuesday.

The visitors, meanwhile, will have the chance to claim consecutive victories following a 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley.

Barnsley will be in a confident mood after beating Accrington on Saturday, and we think that they will have the extra quality needed to claim a second straight victory in midweek as they continue their push to secure a playoff place.

Fleetwood Town will want to avoid a third straight defeat when they welcome Portsmouth to Highbury Stadium for a League One meeting on Tuesday.

The visitors, meanwhile, have the chance to claim consecutive victories after John Mousinho began his tenure as Pompey boss with a 2-0 win over Exeter City.

Mousinho would have been pleased to begin his managerial career with a victory, and after taking confidence from their win over Exeter, we think Pompey will go on to claim all three points against a Fleetwood side who have lost their last two games.

The hosts will enter this match off the back of a 2-1 loss to Oxford United on Saturday, while Morecambe were last in action on January 7, recording a 2-1 victory at home to Cheltenham Town.

Morecambe will have taken confidence from their recent run, and they will certainly be the fresher of the two sides heading into this match. Ipswich have picked up 26 home points this season, though, and we are fully expecting the Blues to secure all three points on Tuesday night.

Shrewsbury Town will be aiming to make it three League One victories in a row when they travel to MK Dons on Tuesday night.

The visitors will enter the match off the back of a 5-1 win over Cambridge United on Saturday, while MK Dons recorded a 2-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers on the same afternoon.

MK Dons are certainly better than they have shown this season, especially at home, and we are backing Jackson's side to secure a point here. Shrewsbury will be full of confidence heading into the contest, but they might be forced to settle for a share of the spoils on Tuesday night.
