While also scoring 62 goals in 98 appearances for Brazil, Ronaldo's career was almost pre-written for the Hollywood treatment and it seems that his story will get the attention it deserves.
The smile, the haircut, the hero - Ronaldo had it all with one former teammate heard saying in the trailer that 'it was like playing with Michael Jordan'.
From being born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, making his first team breakthrough at Cruzeiro and moving to Europe with PSV Eindhoven, the attacker was always destined for stardom.
That was backed up during a phenomenal career with the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, however things didn't entirely go his way.

After shining in the 1998 World Cup in France, Ronaldo appeared in the final against the host nation despite suffering a convulsive fit, meaning that he appeared like a shell of his former self as Zinedine Zidane inspired France to a 3-0 lead.

Ronaldo also endured a number of injury problems that hampered his career but, to the striker's credit, he was able to reinvent himself and ensure that he could keep competing at the highest level until his retirement in 2011.
