So far the Pole has got off to a flyer, scoring 13 goals in nine games to lead his side to the top of the LaLiga table.
His most recent goal, a curling individual match-winning effort in 1-0 win over Mallorca completed a magnificent start, putting his side top of the table ahead of Real Madrid on goal difference before the teams meet in two games time.

Lewandowski's start shouldn't come as a huge surprise after he became Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga's second top scorer whilst in Germany, but it's every asset to his play that's impressing in Catalunya.
And that's similar to the shock that Haaland has caused with Manchester City according to talkSPORT's European football expert Andy Brassell.
"What Spain is having with Lewandowski is pretty much what England is having with Erling Haaland at the moment," he explained.
"Spanish football media are going 'Wow! Lewandowski's fantastic, isn't he?' and the rest of the footballing world are going 'Well yeah, duh, obviously he's fantastic'.

"It's easy to say that, but when you see a player at close hand, you see them every week, you see everything they do for your team, or one of the biggest teams in the land.
"You see every aspect of what they do and they're seeing that Lewandowski can do the rough stuff, that he's a way of circumventing playing good football at times.
"Then he can just pull something out of the bag like possibly his best goal for Barcelona with this curling shot to win the game in the first half [against Mallorca].

"They were under the pump in this game and yet they still came out with a clean sheet despite the fact they were partially decimated at the back and it just shows you Barcelona have changed a bit."
