Even at a World Cup, there is nothing which fazes Jack Grealish.
And he has brought a touch of Manchester City to the England camp which helps whenever he is thrown into games with the instructions to get on the ball and make things happen.
Grealish went into great detail about how he has improved at City, working under Pep Guardiola but also learning from Bernardo Silva which has helped make him fearless whenever he has the ball at his feet.
"One of the best players I've played with - and he's changed the way I see football - is Bernardo Silva. Out of everyone I've played with he is probably the best," said Grealish.
"He doesn't get a proper lot of goals and assists - he has got a few this season from passing it to someone and he is putting it in the top bin.
"The way his brain works is crazy, he will go and get the ball off the keeper and dribble with it from the six yard box. I remember one game last season: the manager told Bernardo to come get the ball off Ederson.
"So Ederson puts the ball down gives it to Bernardo who goes off on his little dribble around. I was like 'WTF does this c**t think he is doing he thinks it's school football.' It was unbelievable. But he is unbelievable.
"Pep says he wants us to show balls, wanting the ball under pressure when then opposition crowd are against you at Anfield when everyone is whistling and you're saying give me the ball. That is Bernardo in a nutshell. That's what I think I do a little bit."
Grealish was in brilliant form as he talked about "living the dream" at the World Cup, happy just to be part of the squad but also his love of football.
This is the £100m midfielder painted as a party boy but actually he says no-one in the England squad loves playing football more than him.
Grealish said: "Just speak to people I work with every day and I swear, if you go and ask Steve Holland or Gareth or any of them: 'is there anyone in this squad who loves football more than me?'
"Every day they have to say to me 'come on Jack, get in now, get off the training pitch' because I love playing football and training. I just enjoy it all."
Even a video of him doing "two touch" with Phil Foden got five million views on You Tube. "Too right! Did you see the tekkers? It was good. Me and Phil do that all the time," said Grealish.
"We get that from being at City. I've never been in a changing room in my life where, at Villa you'd be sitting there on their phones, then at City you're sitting there and balls are going flying across the changing room.
"People playing two-touch. I think it's the culture at City, where everyone just loves to have a football and we bring that here."
Grealish thinks the criticism of England after the goalless draw against United States was too much and he believes they are in great shape.
But while he is also desperate to start games, Grealish - who has come on as a substitute in all three games so far - enjoys his mission of making a difference.
Grealish added: "I think we do deserve some credit as a team. We've got seven points, two clean sheets now, conceded only twice in three games and obviously scored nine goals.
"I'd love to start games. I'm not sitting here saying I don't want to start. But when I come on here, all the lads says to me if we're drawing at half-time: 'make sure you're ready' and it makes you feel like that they want you, it makes me feel good.
"When I come here with England, I love it honestly. I love the group of lads, I love the staff, I love the bond that we have."
