A brawl between coaches and players of Barnsley and Cardiff erupted after the visitors' 1-0 victory in their Championship duel away at Oakwell on Wednesday.
Following the final whistle, Barnsley assistant coach Joseph Laumann had an altercation with his Cardiff counterpart Mark Hudson before the two men were separated.
Then, Cardiff head coach Steve Morison went towards the travelling fans to celebrate his team's win, when cameras caught Laumann saying something to Morison before a coming-together erupted involving players and staff of both teams in the tunnel area.
Security personnel managed to break up the brawl, with Morison pointing at a rough tackle from Barnsley's Mads Andersen on Cardiff's Alfie Doughty as the main reason behind what followed after the game.
"The [Barnsley] assistant manager didn't like the fact that they lost and didn't handle it very well," said Morison.
"It was fine, he just picked the wrong person.
"It was an awful tackle. That was why there was so much passion at the end because that was a real naughty tackle.
"They were hiding towels for long throws and being really nasty, and you know what happens when people are like that? They get their comeuppance and it's karma."
This is the second time that the hosts are involved in a similar incident, as Laumann was sent off after a sideline coming-together that took place back in September in Barnsley's 1-1 draw with Stoke City.
"It's normally the lads [players] that walk in in the morning a little bit sheepish, but I think the staff will be coming in sheepish tomorrow," former Brighton striker Glenn Murray told Sky Sports after the incident which saw Laumann handed a two-game ban, as well as a 3000 euro fine.
"It was unacceptable. They should be leading by example."
