Sunday's Primeira Liga predictions including Braga vs. Arouca

Santa Clara vs. Famalicao (Sunday, 3.30pm)

Santa Clara will be looking to snap their 11-game winless run when they play host to Famalicao at the Estadio de Sao Miguel in round 21 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Having secured a 1-0 victory in August's reverse fixture, the Vila Nova will head into the weekend seeking to complete a second league double in three years over the home side.

Santa Clara and Famalicao have both endured a disappointing campaign and find themselves at the wrong end of the table. Unlike the hosts, the Vila Nova have managed a few decent results here and there since the turn of the year and we are backing them to come away with a slender victory on Sunday.

With the disappointment from their midweek Europa Conference League thrashing still lingering in the air, Braga play host to Arouca at Estadio Braga Municipal in round 21 of the Primeira Liga on Sunday.

The Arouquenses will head into the weekend looking to get one over the hosts, having failed to win any of the last 10 meetings between the sides since September 2014.

While Braga have flattered to deceive in Europe, back home they have enjoyed a solid campaign and are currently seated in the upper echelons of the table. Jorge's side have won seven of their last eight Primeira Liga matches and we are backing them to comfortably see off an Arouca side who have struggled for results away from home.

Casa Pia vs. Guimaraes (Sunday, 8.30pm)

Ahead of their crucial clash at the Estadio Pina Manique on Sunday night, Casa Pia and Vitoria de Guimaraes are separated by just two points in the Primeira Liga table.

Vitoria occupy fifth place following a run of three straight wins, while Casa Pia find themselves sixth after managing a solitary victory in their previous six league outings.

Having scored a combined total of 37 goals across 40 league outings this season, Casa Pia and Vitoria de Guimaraes look destined to produce a low-scoring encounter on Sunday.
