With Brooklyn Beckham taking more steps in his modelling career, Romeo started to follow in his father's footsteps over the weekend by making his professional football debut for Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale, affiliated with Inter Miami, also had Phil Neville's son Harvey playing alongside the young Beckham in midfield.
Beckham only joined the club recently and didn't have long to wait before making his first appearance, lining up on the right of midfield with the No.11 on his back. Playing 79 minutes, Beckham then left the pitch without having scored or assisted in a 2-2 draw with South Georgia Tormenta.
"Blessed to have made my pro debut tonight," the 19-year-old Beckham wrote on Instagram after the game. "Full focus on to the next match."
Just the beginning
While not everyone has been entirely convinced by the teenage Beckham and Neville playing for the club connected with Inter Miami - owned by David Beckham and coached by Phil Neville - they are likely to play again on October 2 when Fort Lauderdale take on Greenville Triumph.
The Beckham name if obviously significant in the United States, with David's move to Major League Soccer to join the LA Galaxy still being arguably the biggest transfer made by any MLS side.
