Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men meanwhile followed up their famous victory at the Westfalenstadion by drawing 1-1 to Dundee United.

Rangers v Borussia Dortmund: Team news

The hosts have been dealt a blow following the news that Aaron Ramsey has not recovered from a muscle problem in time to feature.

But Leon Balogun is fit to rejoin the squad, with Rangers' only other absentee being Ianis Hagi who is out for the rest of the season.

Dortmund meanwhile have even bigger problems with star striker Erling Haaland not part of the German's travelling squad to Scotland.

The Norwegian is still struggling with a groin issue and joins Manuel Akanji (calf), Dan-Axel Zagadou (thigh), Mateu Morey and Marcel Schmelzer (both knee) on the sidelines for the visitors.
