Phil Foden shocks Micah Richards with haircut price as he teases ex-City star

The former Citizens defender claimed last year he forks out £200-per-trim, three times a week for 40 weeks of a calendar year.

Incredibly, that works out to £24,000-a-year, and judging by his impressed view of Foden's barnet, he may soon be changing up his barber.

Foden appeared on CBS Sports on Tuesday night after chipping in with a goal and assist in City's 3-1 win away at Copenhagen in the Champions League knockout stages.

Moving away from football chat, Richards quizzed Foden on his fade, where he said: "Who's your barber? Because your trim's looking kind of fresh I'm not gonna lie."

Quick to mock the 2012 Premier League winner, the 31-cap England international quipped: "I've heard you pay a lot for your trim."

His jibe left Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher in stitches, with host Kate Abdo pushing the attacking midfielder on an answer to Richards' comment.

And none of the CBS panel were expecting such a modest revelation, as Foden remarked: "£20 from the local."

Cries of, 'No you do not' rang out from Richards and Abdo, with Foden adding: "I swear! I sort him out sometimes, but I've been to the same barber since the age of eight."

Richards then couldn't resist making a joke about Foden's eyebrow slits, as he commented: "Did he slip when he got to your eyebrows?"

To which a laughing Foden said: "Yeah and he's stayed there ever since!"

The City academy graduate has been in imperious form once again this season having contributed directly towards 25 goals in all competitions.

He already boasts better numbers than last season, with Pep Guardiola utilising him as a No.10 as well as on both wings.

Discussing his form, he stated: "When you get a run of games you find your feet and start getting connections with other players.

"I first started playing in the pocket, but today I played wide and did an alright job.

'I just feel alive [playing in the middle]. I feel like I'm always involved in the game.

"You can get into the game as well, I feel. You can get the ball, play a decent few passes and build your confidence. Out wide you have to wait for the ball."
