The American actor and writer is the co-owner of the Red Dragons along with Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds with whom he has built up a rather effective friendship and business partnership.

As a result, the Welsh side are now turning their attention to life in League Two and the significant challenge that lies ahead of them.
As well as garnering global media appeal due to their status and fame, Reynolds and McElhenney have used their place at the club to attract high-caliber players to the club, most notably EFL goalscorer Paul Mullin and former Premier League and England goalkeeper, Ben Foster.

McElhenney then shared the message to his followers on Twitter, saying: "Hey Gareth Bale let's play golf, where I totally won't spend 4 hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season."
