Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain 'send scouts' to watch Tammy Abraham, but Chelsea could derail transfer

The 25-year-old, who joined the Serie A side from Chelsea, has impressed during his time in Italy.

Abraham has scored 36 goals for the club who are led by Jose Mourinho, although the vast majority came last season.

He has netted nine in all competitions this term, with other major European clubs showing interest in a potential move.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, scouts from both United and PSG went to watch him play against AC Milan.

Abraham scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give Roma a late lead, only for Alexis Saelemaekers to equalise three minutes later to seal a 1-1 draw.

It's not the first time scouts have been sent by United, who are seeking potential targets to replace loanee Wout Weghorst.

However, Abraham's former club Chelsea have a buy-back clause of around £70.3million.

Should another club make an offer for the striker, it will be communicated to the Blues due to their 'pre-emption right'.

Previous reports have linked United with Abraham as an alternative target to Tottenham's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen.

Should he join up with Erik ten Hag's side in the summer, he would seal a return to the Premier League following a two-year absence.

He has 26 goals to his name in the top flight of English football during spells at Chelsea and Swansea.
